1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this website and for bookings made through it is Illia Syvorotka, who can be reached at natashasyvorotcka3@gmail.com. The apartment is located at Via Campo Volo, Parco Pantano, 87029 Scalea (CS), Italia. This is a privately owned apartment rented directly by its owner, not a company or agency.
2. What we collect, and why
- Booking form: name, e-mail, phone, arrival/departure dates, number of guests and any message you write — used to answer your enquiry, prepare a rental contract and, if you book, fulfil that contract.
- If you contact us on WhatsApp, Viber or by phone instead, we hold the same kind of information inside that app or on the phone itself, under that provider's own rules.
- This is a static website: it does not run a database and does not collect anything automatically beyond what you type into the form, except the optional analytics described in section 6 if you switch it on. Whichever company ends up hosting the site may keep basic technical access logs (IP address, date, page requested) for security purposes — this section The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which keeps such logs under its own policy.
3. Legal basis
We process your booking details to take steps you requested before entering a contract, and to perform that contract once you book (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Passing guest data to the authorities as described below is a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)). Analytics, if you turn it on, is processed with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
4. Who else sees your data
- Alloggiati Web (Questura di Cosenza) — Italian law requires every guest's ID details to be reported to the local police portal within 24 hours of check-in. This applies to every short-term rental in Italy, not only this one.
- ROSS1000 — anonymised, aggregated stay statistics are reported to the Calabria regional tourism observatory, as required of all accommodation providers in the region.
- Web3Forms — the booking form on this site is delivered to us through this third-party form service. Web3Forms states it does not sell or share submitted data and deletes it automatically after a retention window on its side; we have not yet independently verified where its servers are located, so if that matters to you, please also check Web3Forms' own privacy policy before writing anything sensitive into the form.
- We do not sell guest data, and we do not share it with anyone else for marketing.
5. How long we keep it
Booking correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your stay, plus the period Italian tax rules require us to keep records of income and guests (typically several years). The exact retention period is still being confirmed with an accountant — this section will be updated with a precise figure once that is settled; until then, treat "several years" as an honest estimate, not a fixed promise. Data held by Alloggiati Web and ROSS1000 is retained by those authorities under their own, separate rules, not ours.
6. Cookies
By default this site sets no non-essential cookies at all: the only thing stored locally is the record of the choice you make in the cookie banner, so that we do not ask again for six months. If you switch analytics on, an anonymised Google Analytics is loaded from that moment — never before you say yes, and never at all if we have not yet enabled analytics on our side. You can change your mind any time from Cookie settings in the footer of every page.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, limit how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to how it is processed — write to the e-mail address above and we will respond. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to Italy's supervisory authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
